“Creativity is piercing the mundane to find the marvellous.” - Bill Moyers

My portfolio encompasses a diverse range of projects, spanning styling, art direction, writing and design.

Whether it's crafting a brand identity that resonates with audiences or designing captivating social media layouts, I thrive on the challenge of translating concepts into visually stunning realities.

Choosing a position at Vogue Magazine over a career in news journalism paved a career specialising in fashion, beauty and lifestyle. Along with curating looks for the likes of Cate Blanchett, Teresa Palmer, Chris Hemsworth and Toni Collette I take incredible pride in creating images that inspire true emotion and beauty.

Following twenty years writing and styling for leading print and broadcast media including Vogue Magazine, Men’s Style Magazine, Mindfood magazine, Foxtel and the Seven Network, I returned to my love of graphic design, combining my years of experience to now produce cohesive creative content for a diverse range of brands across all sectors.

Want the long version?

I studied to be a Broadcast Journalist at Charles Sturt University Bathurst and then moved to the position of Beauty Editor for Vogue Magazine in 2000. Since then I have developed a strong skill in both men’s and women’s fashion, working as the Fashion and Grooming Editor for Men’s Style and Fashion and Beauty Editor for Mindfood Magazine as well as regularly contributing to other leading magazine titles and broadsheet newspapers.

My journalism background lead me back to working for the Seven Network as the National Style Consultant and also into celebrity styling, becoming a regular stylist to Toni Collette, Jennifer Hawkins and Kate Ritchie. My list of celebrity clients I have worked with is now extensive, including, Cate Blanchett, the late Heath Ledger, Isla Fisher, Rachel Griffiths, Teresa Palmer and countless others.

I have been lucky enough to travel the globe as both a stylist and journalist, attending fashion weeks in New York, Paris and Sydney and styling collaborations with luxury brand, Louis Vuitton styling in Tokyo, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. I have lent my styling skills to advertising campaigns including, Le Specs, QV skincare, Jockey, David Jones, Nova and The Commonwealth Bank and have hosted styling events for Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren, Coach, Grazia and Estee Lauder.

I have also worked across countless awards such as the TV Week Logie’s, ACCTA awards and the ARIA’s as well as judging Fashions on the Field at the prestigious Melbourne Cup. Throughout my career I have styled iconic television casts such as Home & Away, Packed to the Rafters, Australia’s Top Model, Dancing with the Stars, A Place to Call Home, Pulse, Janet King and The Commons.

With my move into graphic design, my knowledge within the media, web and social marketing platforms have excelled. My proficiency in the Adobe suite ranges from Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dimension, Premier Pro, After Effects and Procreate, and in this fast paced digital age I am always expanding my skills.

Penny Hunt Creative is symbiotic of my credentials, specialising in the development of a diverse range of creative services for all business types, from branding and identity development, content for marketing, social media and even mesmeric art for an empty wall or two.
